Un'sploded
2020, Film 6.5 minutes

Short film told from the perspective of Thanet Resident who witnesses the controlled explosion of unexploded ordinance (WW2 bomb). The film loosely addresses notions of PTSD and how it manifests in the body and in the landscape.

Sometimes I think it doesn't get to me anymore,
then suddenly, out of the clear blue
like a storm
of normal moments,
that reminds me
of what happened
I'm there.
And then there it is, beached in front of me,
sucked forward through time.
The past repeating on me
like a dodgy takeaway.
